The hostel used to be a border guard station in the middle of the forest. Now it can accommodate 60 people. It is equipped with a kitchen, a spacious dining and community room, and shared bathrooms.  There are two three-bedded rooms with own shower, a six-bedded, and six eight-bedded rooms. The larger rooms are furnished with bunk beds. Self catering only, but hot meal is available advanced booking . A 2.5-acre garden is attached to the building that is ideal for camping. Nearby sights include: the Ménes Pond, the ruins of Derenk village and the Szádvár fort ruins.There is a possibility to rent a bike and there is a souvenir shop and a snack-bar.
